RBEWhy RBE

An equipment partner, not a machine on hire.

On a serious project, the rental is the easy part. What matters is whether the machine arrives when planned, keeps working, and whether someone responsible answers when it doesn’t.

01Requirement

It starts with your site and your dates.

Availability is checked against your start date and duration before you commit — not “should be free” on the phone.

02Planning

The machine, stated in the quote.

Make, model and specification are written into the quote, with the operator arrangement and what travels with it — so you know what is coming to your site.

03Mobilisation

Route and travel method worked out in advance.

On its own wheels for nearby sites, or on a low-bed trailer for longer moves into the hills. The route and arrival date are worked out with the quote, not on the day.

04Deployment

Deployed from Haldwani, at the foot of the hills.

Haldwani is where the plains meet the Kumaon hills, so machines start every move at the gateway to the hill roads.

05Project support

Downtime terms settled before work starts.

Who you contact, who attends, expected repair times and servicing — settled at quote stage, so nothing is renegotiated while your site waits.

01The difference

The same machine. A very different rental.

Left: the risks a project team usually carries with informal machine hire. Right: what RBE commits to on every rental.

Informal machine hire RBE Capital Equip.
Terms Agreed on a phone call. Period, hours, operator, diesel, mobilisation, idle-time and breakdown terms — in writing.
Availability “Should be free.” Confirmed for your dates before you commit.
Machine condition Arrives as it is. Checked before it is dispatched to your site.
Operator Sometimes; sometimes not. Always supplied with the machine.
Breakdowns Sorted out while your site waits. How it is reported, who attends and what happens if repair runs long — agreed up front.
Communication Whoever answers. One named point of contact for your project.
Commitment Hourly, between other jobs. 15-day minimum — set up for project work.

02Support

Breakdown support, agreed before the machine arrives.

What happens if the machine breaks down in the middle of my project?

This is settled before work starts, not after. RBE agrees with you in writing how a breakdown is reported, who attends, and what happens if a repair is going to take longer. The machine is also checked before it is dispatched, so problems are found in the yard rather than on your site.

  1. Before workAgree the support plan

Who you call, who attends, and what happens if a repair runs long — written into your terms before dispatch.

  2. DispatchCheck the machine

Inspected before it leaves for your site, so problems are found in the yard, not on your project.

  3. On siteOne point of contact

A named person at RBE for daily coordination, extension and anything that goes wrong. The operator comes with the machine.

  4. If it stopsFollow the agreed plan

No renegotiating while your site waits — the steps were settled at the start.

04Straight dealing

What we won’t do.

  • Promise a date we can’t meet to win the order.
  • Send a backhoe loader to a job that needs an excavator.
  • Send a machine without an operator.
  • Leave idle-time, diesel or mobilisation terms vague.
  • Disappear after the machine is delivered.

05Working together

What we’ll ask of you.

  • An accurate site location and honest access details.
  • A safe, stable working area for the machine.
  • A site contact for daily coordination and hours sign-off.
  • Early notice if your schedule moves.

→ Check availability

Talk to the people who will actually support your site.

Send the project location, type of work, start date and how long you need the machine (15 days minimum). RBE confirms availability, how the machine reaches your site and the full terms in writing — operator included.
